Shipping & Delivery Policy
Effective Date: September 9, 2026
1. Overview & Scope
This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing the transport, dispatch, and delivery of products supplied by Maytac International Partners Ltd. ("the Company"). By placing an order or agreeing to a proforma invoice/sales contract with the Company, the client ("Buyer") accepts the terms set forth in this policy.
2. Freight & Shipping Charges
-
Inclusive Shipping Rates: Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing, shipping and freight charges are fully inclusive in the agreed total order or contract price.
-
Scope of Included Costs: The inclusive rate covers standard transport, export clearance, documentation fees, and freight handling from our facilities up to the designated port or destination agreed upon in the contract.
-
Special Handling & Surcharges: Any additional expenses resulting from buyer-requested route changes, re-consignment, extended storage at destination ports, or specialized customs inspection fees outside standard procedures shall be charged to the client.
3. Transfer of Risk & Liability (Client Risk Assignment)
-
Transfer of Risk: Risk of loss, damage, contamination, or shrinkage of goods transfers entirely to the client once the shipment has been handed over to the primary carrier or freight forwarder at the origin port/facility (in accordance with Incoterms 2020 agreed upon, e.g., CPT/FOB/CIP).
-
Client Liability: The client bears all liabilities, risks, and financial loss associated with:
-
Loss, damage, or destruction of cargo during transit.
-
Customs holds, delays, fines, or port demurrage charges arising at the destination port.
-
Import duties, taxes, tariffs, and regulatory clearance compliance in the destination country.
-
-
Insurance: Cargo insurance is the sole responsibility of the client unless explicitly stated as included (e.g., under CIP terms) in the agreed sales contract. We strongly advise all clients to procure comprehensive marine/cargo insurance coverage prior to vessel departure.
4. Customs Clearance & Documentation
-
Export Clearance: Maytac International Partners Ltd. will handle all export documentation and export clearance in the country of origin.
-
Import Clearance & Duties: The client is responsible for obtaining all necessary import licenses, permits, and paying all applicable local duties, taxes, and import fees at the destination port.
-
Documentation Support: We will supply all required standard shipping documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, Phytosanitary Certificate, etc.) as specified in the contract.
5. Delivery Timelines & Delays
-
Estimated Lead Times: Dispatch schedules and estimated delivery times provided are estimates only and do not guarantee exact arrival dates.
-
Force Majeure & Unforeseen Delays: Maytac International Partners Ltd. shall not be liable for delivery delays or failure to perform caused by acts of God, port congestion, weather conditions, carrier delays, labor disputes, warfare, trade embargoes, or government actions beyond our direct control.
6. Claims for Damaged or Missing Shipments
-
Inspection upon Receipt: The client must inspect all shipments immediately upon arrival at the destination port or facility.
-
Reporting Discrepancies: Any visible damage, outer packaging compromise, or missing units must be noted on the carrier’s Delivery Receipt / Bill of Lading and reported to Maytac International Partners Ltd. within 48 hours of receipt.
-
Filing Claims: As risk transfers to the buyer upon transit handover, the client must file damage or loss claims directly with their insurance carrier or the freight transport line. Maytac International Partners Ltd. will provide reasonably requested shipping documents to assist the client in processing their claim.
